Former Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain is in the news for all the wrong reasons yet again in his rocky career.
McClain, currently with the Cowboys, was suspended for the first 10 games of the season on June 30, for violating the NFL substance abuse policy. On Tuesday, reports surfaced on what exactly McClain was suspended for.
The No. 8 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by Oakland tested positive for a concoction known as "purple drank," according to multiple national reports. The drink is a mixture of Sprite, cough syrup and codeine.
"Even we don't know all the details," Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Tuesday to the Dallas Morning News.
