The Raiders have already brought back one former head coach. Now Jon Gruden is reportedly bringing back a second.
According to Michael Lombardi and the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Raiders are set to hire Tom Cable as their offensive line coach. Cable had been the Seahawks’ offensive line coach and assistant head coach from 2011 until Wednesday, when he was fired.
Cable previously coached the Raiders’ offensive line in 2007 and was promoted to interim head coach four games into the 2008 season after then-owner Al Davis fired Lane Kiffin. Cable stayed head coach through the 2010 season and compiled a 17-27 record before being fired.
