The Raiders’ latest move is hardly the splash fans wanted, but Oakland is adding some versatility in former Ravens receiver/returner Griff Whalen, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Whalen played at nearby Stanford in college, and has played for the Colts (2012-15), Chargers (2016) and Ravens (2017) since entering the NFL in 2012. In his career, Whalen has played 43 games, logged three starts and caught 51 passes for 532 yards and three touchdowns.
Whalen only played two games for Baltimore last season before being cut on Oct. 31. He received 85 offensive snaps and 25 special-teams snaps with the Ravens in 2017.
