The Oakland Raiders seem intent on flirting with Las Vegas as a site for their new stadium, but two former Raiders are trying to keep the team in Oakland, according to the Mercury News.
NFL retirees Ronnie Lott and Rodney Peete lead an investment group which would like to take over the plans on the current 120-acre Coliseum site.
Lott spent two seasons with the Raiders from 199-92. He recorded 9 interceptions and 196 tackles over that span.
Peete played for the Raiders during the 2001 campaign but never registered a stat.
Over the past few weeks, both former players met with team executives and Oakland officials regarding their proposal to lead developements for the current stadium site.
