Raiders cornerback Daryl Worley is facing a four-game suspension stemming from his April arrest, per ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
That suspension is subject to appeal.
We had a feeling this news was coming after the Raiders’ TV broadcast let it slip during Thursday night’s Raiders-Seahawks game in Seattle. They later retracted the statement that Worley was facing a four-game suspension, but that seemed more like damage control at that point.
Color commentator Matt Millen said, “You’re going to lose Worley for the first four games,” before play-by-play voice Beth Mowins said, “Yup, suspension.” They followed those claims by saying a suspension was a possibility and that nothing had been made official.
