As of last week, the Raiders weren’t even sure whether they would be hiring a quarterbacks coach, according to offensive coordinator Greg Olson. After all, he and Jon Gruden are both quarterback specialists, so a QB coach is not necessarily vital.
The team officially announced a whole slew of assistants last week, and among them was not a QB coach. But if reports are true, they’re still interviewing potential candidates to fill the position.
Those candidates are Lousiana Tech QB coach Tim Rattay and former Lions QB coach Brian Callahan, according to MMQB’s Albert Breer.
