Report: Ex-Raider Aldon Smith skips court date, arrest warrant issued

A warrant was issued Thursday for the arrest of former Raider and 49ers standout Aldon Smith, who failed to show up for his court date in San Francisco, TMZ reported.

Smith was supposed to be in court for violating a protective order to stay away from his girlfriend, against whom he faced domestic violence charges.

Smith, who was set free on $30,000 bail two weeks ago after turning himself in to San Francisco police, was originally charged on March 3 on four counts stemming from an alleged domestic violence incident with his girlfriend.

The troubled outside linebacker was released by the Raiders two days after the incident.
