ALAMEDA — Reggie Nelson channeled his inner Earl Anthony at a team bowling trip, earning rave reviews from both players and coaches.
Nelson ran away from the field Wednesday at a local bowling center, with the Raiders loading up two busses and 130 players, coaches and team employees following practice. Nelson’s top game was 245 and his series outpaced all others by 40 pins.
Next up was defensive end James Cowser, followed by media relations employee Evert Geerlings and reserve long-snapper Anthony Kukwa.
Nelson’s prowess on the lanes came as a surprise.
“I have no idea how he does it, he just rolls the ball and it’s all strikes and pick-ups,” defensive end Khalil Mack said.
