ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Might the Oakland Raiders be intrigued enough by former Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon to select him in next week’s draft, despite his punching a woman in the face in 2014 and the Raiders’ stance on staying away from players with character issues?
Mixon reached a civil settlement agreement Friday with the woman he hit.
The Raiders have met with Mixon and general manager Reggie McKenzie came away impressed.
“We thought he was a really good kid,” McKenzie said Friday at a media conference previewing the draft.
