The Oakland Raiders’ run defense continues to get better.
Last weekend, they held the New York Jets, the NFL's third-best rushing offense at the time, to 74 yards on 21 carries. It marked the fifth game in a row the Raiders have held their opponent under 100 yards rushing -- the longest current streak in the NFL, according to Elias Sports Bureau. (The Raiders’ team record is six games, set in 1967.) As a result, Oakland is now ranked second in the league against the run, allowing 82.9 yards a game, heading into Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
