You can’t put this one on all Derek Carr. The quarterback was victim of poor play from his supporting cast. Dropped balls were the biggest problem early in the game. Hunter Renfrow, Tyrell Williams, and Derek Carrier all were guilty.
You also can’t blame the conditions considering that Sam Darnold and his receivers were not bothered by it in the slightest. The lack of execution and focus came at the worst time possible. Things got so ugly that Carr was pulled (not because of poor play) and replaced by Mike Glennon in the third quarter.
