The Las Vegas Raiders said goodbye to the first member of their 2023 draft class Wednesday as they waived defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera.
He was a seventh-round pick from Arizona State. He transferred to Arizona State in 2022 from Miami, so he did not overlap with Raiders’ interim head coach Antonio Pierce in Tempe.
Silvera was one of nine draft choices made by former general manager Dave Ziegler, who was fired along with head coach Josh McDaniels on October 31. Two of the Raiders 2022 draft picks, defensive tackle Neil Farrell and Matthew Butler, are no long on the active roster.
