Three tryout players begin their careers in Oakland, while three others see their hopes end. The three newly signed undrafted rookies are Jon Gruden specials for sure — two fullbacks and a tight end.
Along with fullback Chris Warren III and tight end Paul Butler, who we already knew had signed, the other player is former Michigan fullback Henry Poggi. All have played tight end as well.
Poggi played four years at Michigan, appearing in 44 games with 17 starts. He made 13 starts at fullback and four starts at tight end, totaling nine career receptions for 68 yards and two career rushing attempts for six yards and one TD.
