Being that the Raiders were right at 90 players, in order for their trade for quarterback Christian Hackenberg to be completed, they had to release a player. Wednesday, along with announcing the move, they announced who falls off the roster.
The corresponding roster move was the the team to waive cornerback Senquez Golson, bringing the number of cornerbacks on the roster to nine, which is plenty.
Golson being the odd man out is kind noteworthy considering he was a 2nd round pick in 2015 by the Steelers and was just signed by the Raiders on April 6; less than two months ago.
