ALAMEDA – The Raiders amended their Thursday practice schedule due to poor air quality, eliminating outdoor work entirely.
Walk-through was conducted at a local indoor sports complex to avoid working in an unhealthy environment. The Environmental Protection Agency reports the air quality score around Oakland/Alameda was at 192 at 11 a.m. Thursday morning, the worst score since thick smoke from the Camp Fire started migrating south and giving the Bay Area poor air quality. A score in this range is unhealthy for everyone, and sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.
This marks the second time the Raiders have amended their practice schedule due adverse conditions.
