Raiders training camp: No fullback, no problem?

The Silver & Black has long been one of the last bastions for the fullback position in the NFL. Whether as a lead blocker or ball carrier, go back 40 season to 1984 and a fullback remained a constant on the main roster from then on.

Things are quite different heading into 2024, however.

There’s not one single fullback on the Las Vegas Raiders 90-man roster, currently. And that presents a paradigm shift for a position that’s been inherently Raider.

Jakob Johnson, a burly 6-foot-3, 255-pounder, was last to be in the position group last two seasons.
