The Raiderettes were in Las Vegas on Thursday, and Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis had something to cheer about.
The Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee finalized its recommendation that includes $750 million in public money to build a stadium for the Raiders. The proposal now heads to Gov. Brian Sandoval for approval.
The plan to build an NFL stadium in Las Vegas crossed a major hurdle, four days before the Raiders’ home opener. Davis has not only pledged to move the Raiders to the city, but put $500 million into the facility that would house the team.
