PITTSBURGH – The Oakland Raiders looked like they could beat anybody in the past two weeks. On Sunday, they showed they are beatable.
Oakland, so dominant at San Diego and at home against the Jets, had their trouble Sunday in a 38-35 loss at Pittsburgh, which the Steelers sealed with a last-second field goal after the Raiders came roaring back to tie the with just over a minute to go. The Raiders’ defense, so solid the past three games, took a step back and was beaten soundly. Offensively, the Raiders had their first four turnovers in a three-game stretch in a game in which the Steelers were the more physical team.
