Allegiant Stadium construction just off the Las Vegas Strip has carried on during the coronavirus pandemic that has forced schools and non-essential businesses across the country to shutter on local, state and federal government orders.
One of the workers on-site building the Raiders new stadium tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement issued by the Mortenson-McCarthy construction companies on Wednesday obtained by multiple Las Vegas media outlets.
According to Mortenson-McCarthy, a joint-venture in charge of stadium construction, workers were adhering to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on social distancing, so the worker diagnosed with COVID-19 was not in close proximity to other workers.
