GREEN BAY, Wis. – Raiders defensive lineman Darius Latham has slowly risen through the ranks, as undrafted rookies are required to do. They start from nothing and must maximize each opportunity earned.
The Indiana product has certainly done that, dating back to the offseason program. He has excelled in practice and was an effective power rusher and run defender in the exhibition opener at Arizona.
That got him 37 defensive snaps in Thursday’s 20-12 loss to the Green Bay Packers, including a rotation with the starting unit. He had a pair of tackles and frequently pushed his way into the backfield and, if he keeps it up, he might force his way onto the 53-man roster.
