Eddie Vanderdoes hasn’t been in the Bay Area has much as he’d like. This year’s third-round pick missed most of the Raiders offseason program due to UCLA’s academic calendar. An NFL rule prevented Vanderdoes from practicing while his school was in session, even if he wasn’t enrolled in spring classes.
Vanderdoes, who was training in Los Angeles this summer, came back for off-field work and orientation, but the East Bay will now become home.
He can find a nice one after signing his first professional contract on Wednesday morning. The No. 88 overall pick is the seventh member of the 2017 draft class to ink a deal.
