The Raiders signed the son of a franchise great on Wednesday afternoon, adding undrafted free agent defensive end Greg Townsend Jr. to the 90-man roster.
The USC product is son of all-time Raiders sack leader Greg Townsend Sr., who featured heavily on the team that won Super Bowl XVIII.
Townsend Sr. had 107.5 sacks in his career as a defensive end, the position his son also plays.
Townsend Jr. played 32 games at USC with 68 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
The Raiders signed an undrafted legacy player a few years back, adding running back George Atkinson III, son of former Raiders safety George Atkinson.
