Seventh-round draft pick Dexter McDonald signed his rookie contract, the Raiders announced on Tuesday.
McDonald inked a four-year contract with pay commiserate with his draft slot per the rookie wage scale.
The cornerback from Kansas was the team’s third draft pick of that round, taken with the No. 242 overall selection.
McDonald gave the Raiders great value at that spot, and was the lone cornerback added in the NFL draft. McDonald is a physical cover man who fits the new defensive scheme being installed by coordinator Ken Norton Jr. The Raiders have gone young at that position, with DJ Hayden and TJ Carrie has expected starters.
