ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed QB Derek Carr to a five-year contract extension through 2022, the club announced Friday.
The Raiders originally drafted Carr in the second round (36th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Fresno State. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder has emerged into one of the league’s top quarterbacks over his first three seasons, earning two Pro Bowl selections and numerous other individual accolades. He started the first 47 games of his career, throwing for 11,194 yards on 1,055-of-1,732 passing (60.9 percent) with 81 touchdowns and just 31 interceptions.
