ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed LS Thomas Gafford, the club announced Tuesday.
Gafford has played in 116 career games for the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears. He originally entered the NFL with the Green Bay Packers in 2006 and has also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks. From 2008-14, Gafford appeared in 105 consecutive games for Kansas City, collecting 17 special teams tackles and one fumble recovery. He played in 11 games for the Bears this season before being released on Nov. 28.
The 6-foot-2, 250-pounder was a four-year letterman at Houston, playing in 47 games as the Cougars’ long snapper.
