Raiders sign long-snapper Thomas Gafford, place Jon Condo on injured reserve for final three games

ALAMEDA _ The Raiders signed long-snapper Thomas Gafford Tuesday and placed two-time Pro Bowl snapper Jon Condo on injured reserve, ending his season.

Gafford, 32, was the long-snapper for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2008 through 2014 and spent part of training camp this season with the Chicago Bears.

Undrafted out of Houston in 2005, Gafford (6-foot-2, 250 pounds) went through training camps or offseasons with Green Bay, Seattle and Chicago before catching on with the Chiefs.

Condo executed two punt snaps after his injury, believed to be a dislocated shoulder sustained while recovering a muffed punt.
