ALAMEDA _ Long-snapper Andrew East, a first-year player out of Vanderbilt, was signed to a contract Tuesday, the Raiders announced.East, 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, was signed originally by Kansas City and went to training camp with the Chiefs. After the season, East was brought to Seattle on a reserve/future contract but was waived last month.
Raiders long-snapper Jon Condo underwent shoulder surgery after being injured recovering a fumble last season in the win over Denver. Thomas Gafford, the man who replaced Condo, is an unrestricted free agent.
Having East brings in a snapper for the off-season program as Condo continues to rehab.
