The Oakland Raiders on Thursday announced they will continue to play their home games at O.co Coliseum in Oakland after signing a lease extension with the stadium for the 2016 season.
The Joint Powers Authority announced in a statement that the lease is for 2016 with options for 2017 and 2018.
"The Raiders belong in Oakland," said Oakland city councilmember and Joint Powers Authority Chair Larry Reid. "This is a great start, and now we will go back to work to help assemble a longer term agreement."
