ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed fourth-round draft pick CB Nick Nelson, the club announced Monday.
Nelson was selected 110th overall by the Raiders in the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons at Hawaii before playing one year at Wisconsin, appearing in 37 games collectively. He totaled 124 tackles (95 solo), 42 passes defensed, one sack and two forced fumbles over his career. Nelson was named second-team All-American by CBS and first-team All-Big Ten in 2017 and earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention recognition in 2015.
In 2017, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound cornerback started all 14 games, leading the nation and setting a school record with 21 passes defensed, adding 35 tackles (26).
