MESA, Ariz. — Seth Roberts is happy and ready to welcome another member to the wide receiver room after the Raiders signed the speedy Cordarrelle Patterson on Monday.
“I like it,” Roberts said Tuesday after throwing out the first pitch at an A’s spring training game. “It’s another weapon. I remember two years ago (when) he came to the Black Hole.”
That appearance in the Black Hole came in Week 10 of the 2015 season. The Raiders were flirting with contending for a wild-card spot, but dropped a tough 38-35 game in Pittsburgh the week before.
Andre Holmes caught a third-quarter touchdown from Derek Carr to give the Raiders a 14-13 lead over the Minnesota Vikings, but before they could even enjoy it, Patterson raced 93 yards for a kick return touchdown.
