The latest Las Vegas Raiders roster news includes today’s signing of safety Tre’von Moehrig, their second-round pick. The announcement came from the team Monday and leaves only two Raiders draft picks unsigned: third-rounders Malcolm Koonce and Divine Deablo.
Moehring was picked in the 43rd overall position in the 2021 draft. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound safety out of Texas Christian was projected as a possible first-rounder. He is expected to compete for a starting position in the Raiders backfield.
Moehrig played three seasons (2018-20) at TCU, appearing in 34 games with 24 starts over his career and compiling 125 tackles (86 solo), seven interceptions, 28 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
