The Las Vegas Raiders got a jump on Tuesday’s roster cut-down by making a few moves, most notably, cutting veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas.
Douglas was signed as a free agent this offseason and he was expected to make the team when he was signed. But the Raiders continued to load up at the position in the offseason. Plus, Douglas didn’t perform that well in preseason play.
The Raiders also trimmed punter Corliss Waitman and guard Parker Ehinger. They did bring abck tackle Devery Hamilton. So, Las Vegas needs to trim three more players by Tuesday’s deadline to get the roster down to 80.
