The NFL is a small community.
People in the business often know each other for years and you never know when old relationships can help create new opportunities years down the road.
That was the of Andrus Peat and the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason. The Raiders signed the veteran offensive lineman to be a key rotational player and it finally united Peat, who spent his first nine NFL season with the New Orleans Saints, and first-year Raiders’ offensive lien coach James Cregg.
The two first got to know each other nearly 14 years ago when Cregg was the offensive line coach at USC and Peat was a highly-recruited high school player in Tempe, Arizona.
