On the first day of practice in pads, the Raiders threw rookie defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes and rookie inside linebacker Marquel Lee into the fire Monday in Napa. They survived and will be back for Tuesday’s practice.
“We really like what we see so far,” defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. said. “I think today in pads was really important for us to see how physical they can be — how they can react from getting hit the few times.
