Especially for a seventh-round pick, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding Air Force safety Trey Taylor as the Las Vegas Raiders managed to land the Jim Thorpe Award Winner on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Taylor led Mountain West safeties with an 83.9 grade from Pro Football Focus last season and that mark ranked inside the top 15 in all of FBS. A big reason for that was his 89.0 grade — fourth-highest in the country — and a 50.9 passer rating when targeted.
