The day before the Raiders are set to face Broncos, they have shaken things up in the secondary and special teams, trying to make sure they have the strongest group. To do that, they have released Taylor Mays and activated undrafted rookie Tevin McDonald from the practice squad.
Mays injured his ankle last week against the Bears. He didn't practice on Wednesday and Thursday and was limited on Friday. He was officially questionable for the game. It was likely discovered that he would be unable to play int the game, prompting the roster move to activate McDonald.
