The Las Vegas Raiders are giving former draft pick Marcell Ateman another chance to stick with the team.
The Raiders signed the 6’4, 215-pound receiver to a reserve/future contract on Wednesday. That means Ateman will be part of the Raiders’ offseason program (whether it is in-person or virtual) and he will go to training camp. However, Ateman will be a long shot (again) to make the 53-man roster.
Jon Gruden drafted Ateman in the seventh round of the 2018 draft. Ateman had 15 catches as a rookie and had five catches in 2019. He didn’t play in 2020 as he spent most of his time on the Raiders’ practice squad, he was also injured part of last season.
