Remember when Jimmy Garoppolo was supposed to be the answer at quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders?
It must have been a million years ago, right. Or just a year ago.
Garoppolo, of course, was signed by the Raiders in 2023 to be the new quarterback after the team released Derek Carr.
But Garoppolo showed what he is —- a borderline starter at best. The Raiders benched Garoppolo when they moved from the Josh McDaniels era to the Antonio Pierce interim head-coaching tenure.
Garoppolo was dumped after the season. He quickly signed with the Los Angeles Rams as their backup and has been so since he served a two-game NFL suspension for violating the league’s PED policy while with the Raiders.
