At least the special teams unit was on point Saturday night for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Everything else, not so much.
In a second preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys that was intended to be decisive when it comes to the quarterback situation, what we got was a Silver & Black dud. Gardner Minshew was erratic and Aidan O’Connell threw a costly pick six and it appeared neither created much-needed separation to become the clear-cut starting signal caller for Las Vegas.
That decision came a day later, however, as head coach Antonio Pierce made his choice Sunday and the Raiders will be engaging in Minshew Mania to start the 2024 campaign.
