ALAMEDA _ Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is expected to be on the field and throwing Tuesday when the Raiders hold their mandatory minicamp, but his involvement could be limited.
Separate stories from the NFL Network and ESPN reported Carr’s availability. Carr missed the first of three organized team activities with a reported injury to the ring finger on his throwing hand. He graduated to handoffs and pitch-outs on run plays in the second OTA and last week threw a few short swing passes to running backs.
At the three-day mandatory minicamp, Carr will be allowed to do more, but is not expected to be full strength in terms of down-field throws and full-time participation until training camp begins, according to a source familiar with the situation.
