Derek Carr grew up a Lakers fan, but he thoroughly enjoyed watching the hometown Warriors win the NBA title on television Monday night. And the Raiders quarterback couldn’t help but get lost in thought a little bit.
“Just to watch that, it makes you hungry every time you see another team or somebody celebrate a championship,” Carr said after Tuesday’s minicamp session. “Just makes you dream those dreams you had as a kid standing on the stage, holding the trophies up.”
Carr did his childhood dreaming in Bakersfield and he was Kobe Bryant when he was shooting jumpers as a kid.
