This week, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, in his first training camp in the role, said he plans to play all healthy players during the three preseason games, which starts August 10 at the Minnesota Vikings.
That bucks a recent trend used the by the Raiders and around the NFL. The truth is, it has become a rarity for most starting players to play in the preseason around the league. Coaches are worried about the risk of injury and rather deal with early-season rust than risk a major injury happening in August.
But Pierce is rolling the dice.
