Friday, the Las Vegas Raiders got some clarity on the 2024 future of young standout pass-rusher Malcolm Koonce.
NFL reporter Jordan Schulz reported that the defensive end will, indeed, be out for the entire season because of a knee injury that will require surgery. He was hurt during practice three days before the season opener. There was hope that Koonce would be able to return later this season, but that is not the case.
Koonce, 26, will be a free agent in March. There was speculation prior to his injury that the Raiders would try to extend Koonce’s contract at some point this year.
