Raiders players to lace up custom cleats for a cause Sunday

One of the white cleats Raiders tight end Jared Cook plans to wear Sunday features an image of a pink ribbon, the symbol of breast cancer awareness. The other is printed with the acronym of the National Down Syndrome Society.

Both causes are personal for Cook, having affected members of his family, and he will represent them Sunday as part of the NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign. Players around the league will wear customized cleats Sunday featuring a cause or organization that is important to them.

More than 30 Raiders players are expected to participate. Here are comments from several, along with the cause and the organization they are representing:
