ALAMEDA — The ankle injury sustained by Marquel Lee is serious enough to put the three-year veteran on injured reserve Tuesday, with the Raiders signing Dakota Allen off the practice squad of the Los Angeles Rams to take his place on the roster.
Lee, 23, has been the fourth linebacker on the Raiders behind starters Vontaze Burfict, Tahir Whitehead and Nicholas Morrow and a core player on special teams. He leads the Raiders with five special teams tackles. Lee, a fifth-round draft pick from wake Forest in 2017, was injured in Sunday’s 34-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, as were Burfict and Morrow.
