CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Oakland Raiders moving to Las Vegas? Their owner says don't bet against it.
Vegas wasn't an agenda item at the NFL's spring meeting here Tuesday, but it was a hot discussion topic for sure. Raiders owner Mark Davis said he's "very optimistic" about his chances of moving his team to the desert, and that he doesn't think his fellow owners would automatically stand in the way.
"I haven't heard 'no'," Davis said at the conclusion of Tuesday's meeting at the Ballantyne Hotel here.
But while that may be true, Davis and multiple owners surveyed here Monday night and Tuesday seemed to agree that a great deal of work needed to be done before the league could consider moving a team to Las Vegas.
