Jack Del Rio took over as Raiders head coach with new schemes in tow. He must install them during the offseason program, which is why new coaches get a few extra practice sessions in the spring. It’s also why progress can be tempered at the outset.
Del Rio doesn’t look at it that way. The Raiders are attacking the new head on, with the aggressiveness in which they want to play.
“The schedule was to put the throttle down and go every day and maximize every day, and that’s what we’ve done,” Del Rio said. “A little over four months into it, that’s where we are.
