The Raiders have officially placed defensive end Justin Tuck on injured reserve. Tuck left last Sunday's game against the Broncos early in the fourth quarter with what was later reported to be a torn pectoral muscle.
The 32-year-old was in the final year of the 2-year deal he signed with the team in the 2014 offseason which means his career in Oakland may be over. In 17 starts over 20 appearances with the Raiders, he compiled 57 tackles (35 solo), 6.0 sacks, 6 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception.
To fill his roster spot, the team brought back safety Taylor Mays whom they had released last week.
