Raiders offense remains absent in first half against Lions

DETROIT — The Raiders offense didn’t show up in the first half and can probably consider itself fortunate to trail just 9-0 to the Detroit Lions.

Oakland has now gone four straight quarters without a point as the Raiders managed a measly five first down and just 91 yards of offense against Detroit.

The Raiders punted on all four of their first-half possessions. One of those drives was thwarted by a controversial call; another by a bad Amari Cooper drop.

With Oakland trailing 6-0 after the Lions settled for a pair of field goals, the Raiders had the look of getting things going.
