OAKLAND — Matt McCrane said there wasn’t much going through his head as he lined up for a potential game-winning 29-yard field goal in overtime Sunday at the Coliseum.
Raiders coach Jon Gruden couldn’t say the same. McCrane, a rookie from Kansas State, joined the Raiders this week and had missed two attempts wide left from 47 and 50 yards. The holder was rookie Johnny Townsend and the long-snapper was rookie Trent Sieg.
McCrane split the uprights and the Raiders won 45-42 to improve to 1-3.
